Free baggage allowance
Free baggage allowance depends on the class of service, routing and is stated on your ticket.
All your baggage, including hand baggage has to be shown to our check-in staff. This is safety requirement.
The following items are recommended to carry in your hand baggage:
money, jewellery, securities, business documents, passports and other identification documents, computers (e.g. laptops, PCs), cameras.
Please do not put these items in your checked baggage.
Checked baggage means baggage of which the carrier takes custody, issues the baggage identification tag and is carried in the hold of the aircraft.
The overall dimensions of each piece of checked baggage for all classes of service must not exceed 158 cm (length + width + height). For children under the age of 2years 115 cm.
Please mark each piece of baggage with the label indicating your name, address and phone number.
Please take care of your baggage receipts which you will need in case of delay or baggage loss.
Your free baggage allowance is based on the weight concept.
Hand baggage may not exceed the dimensions 55x40x20 cm and the weight of 8 kg. You can check this using the hand baggage gauge at the airport. Any items above these limits will have to be checked-in. Please bear this in mind when packing to ensure that your checked baggage does not exceed the free baggage allowance.
Free Carry on Items
Passengers may carry, free of charge, the following items:
If checked in, these items become part of the checked baggage and do not qualify for free carriage if they cause excess weight of the checked baggage.
EXCEPTIONS: Infant's carrying basket or fully collapsible stroller/pushchair, wheelchair, medical equipment is carried in hold, free of charge.
Hand baggage restrictions
Liquids - may only be carried on board in a clear plastic bag.
Please make sure you observe the following rules, otherwise your liquids may be confiscated at the security checkpoint:
Liquids, gels and sprays must be held in individual containers not exceeding 100 ml.
Only one plastic bag is permitted per passenger.
Please present the plastic bag for separate screening at the security checkpoint.
Depending on the operating aircraft type, the hand baggage allowance may be reduced to 5 kg.
Dangerous goods & prohibited items
Dangerous goods (DG) are articles and substances, which may be hazardous to passengers, crew, aircraft or the environment.
Special regulations are applicable for the transport of these goods.
Do not carry the following dangerous articles in your baggage or on your person:
Articles that can be carried in the checked baggage in limited quantities
For safety reasons, certain articles/ items are prohibited to carry in the cabin baggage.Guns, firearms and other devices that can cause serious injury if being used.
Objects with a sharp point or sharp edge can cause serious injury if being used
Blunt instruments - objects capable of being used to cause serious injury.
Explosives and incendiary substances and devices

Any special baggage such as sport equipment - ski, snowboard, bicycle, golf equipment, fishing must be booked and confirmed by Georgian Airways for transportation.
The transportation is included in free baggage allowance.

Guns and Ammunitions
Ammunition, arms and other weapons belonging to the category of non-explosive shall only be accepted for carriage as checked baggage.
Weapons or ammunition with explosive or incendiary projectiles belonging to the category of dangerous goods may be transported as cargo (if not totally prohibited) only according to DGR Rules.
Military weapons may not be carried as checked baggage.
